The Lebo-Waverly baseball and softball teams swept Marais des Cygnes Valley in a pair of doubleheaders held in Waverly on Thursday.
The Lady Wolfdogs defeated MdCV, 17-6, in six innings in the opener and took the finale, 17-7, in five innings.
In game one, Abi Jones went 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI while also going six innings in the circle allowing six runs on seven hits and five strikeouts. Kate Wagner led the Wolfdogs with three RBIs. In game two, Jones went 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Wagner and Saige Hadley each had a home run. Emma Marsh earned the win in the circle, allowing seven runs on 11 hits and five strikeouts while also going 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs.
Lebo-Waverly is now 4-2 and will host Central Heights on Tuesday in Waverly.
The Wolfdogs swept MdCV, 13-2, in five innings and 20-5 in three innings. In game one, Zach Oswald went 1-for-3 at the plate with a home run and five RBIs. Kaden Balding earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits and four strikeouts in three innings. In game two, Corey Reese went 2-for-2 with three RBIs while Oswald went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Drew Konrade earned the win on the mound, allowing four runs on two hits and three strikeouts in two innings.
Lebo-Waverly is now 4-2 on the season.
