Tenants and landlords have an opportunity to gain some tips and get their questions answered on Tuesday
The Kansas Renters Seminar put on by the Housing and Credit Counseling out of Topeka will have two sessions in the Little Theatre at White Auditorium. The first is for landlords at 10:30 a.m. and tenants at 1:30 p.m. with each session being two hours.
The seminar will be held in the Little Theatre at White Auditorium. Topics to be presented include fair housing, agreements, evictions, habitability, maintenance, renter’s responsibilities, notices, and much more.
City of Emporia Community Housing Coordinator Brandi Galbreath says during her time in her current position there have been questions landlords are wanting assistance on.
Galbreath says the hope with this seminar being held is that tenants or landlords know that she’s the contact in Emporia to reach out about issues they need assistance with.
To register for the seminar email Galbreath at bgalbreath@emporiaks.gov or by calling (620) 343-4291.
