Court proceedings are starting for an Emporia man accused of attempted arson as part of an alleged incident last summer.
Benjamin Paul White, age 34, was arrested Friday afternoon. He faces single counts of attempted aggravated arson and aggravated assault after an incident in early August 2023. Court documents accuse White of trying to set a building at 1282 Road 180 on fire with a person inside.
White has his first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Monday.
