The Emporia High softball team went 0-2 at the McPherson Quad on Tuesday.
Emporia High was defeated 15-0 in three innings to Derby in its first game before falling 5-2 to Louisburg in its second game.
Against Derby, the Panthers scored 14 in the first inning and never looked back. Emporia High was held to one hit in the game.
Against Louisburg, the Wildcats scored two in the first and never looked back. The closest Emporia High got was 2-1 through 2 1/2 innings on a solo home run by Alivia Anno. Louisburg tacked on a run in the third and two in the fifth. Emporia High scored its final run in the sixth on an RBI single by Marley Sewell. Anno went 3-for-4 at the plate and took the loss in the circle, allowing five runs on seven hits and five strikeouts.
Emporia High is now 2-8 on the season. The Lady Spartans travel to Manhattan for a doubleheader on Friday.
