A look back at America’s postal history will be the featured presentation at Emporia State University on Monday evening.
ESU Special Collections and Archives will have a presentation called “First Class Tribute: The Story of William Allen White’s 3-Cent Stamp and First Day Covers.” Social Sciences, Sociology and Criminology Professor Darla Mallein will lead the presentation about the stamp, created in 1948, and will have an interactive activity with so-called first-day covers produced to honor the release.
The event begins at 7 pm at William Allen White Library Room 119. Seating has a maximum capacity of 30 people.
