Work will continue at the West Sixth and Prairie intersection Wednesday as part of the US Highway 50 repaving project.
City Engineer Jim Ubert says the Kansas Department of Transportation contractor paved one eastbound lane at the intersection Tuesday. Work will focus on the other eastbound lane Wednesday, with westbound and northbound paving to follow — although that work may well have to wait until next week with numerous chances of rainfall Thursday through Sunday.
US-50 is getting repaved between Prairie and Graphic Arts. Work began April 8 and will go through mid-May. Several business access drives are yet to be paved.
