A preliminary hearing is coming next week in an Emporia drug distribution case.
Zane Major faces single counts of distributing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Major was arrested April 6. His preliminary hearing is at 1:30 pm Tuesday. Rand Simmons has been appointed as defense counsel.
Court documents on the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal allege Major was distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of William Allen White School when Emporia Police arrested him.
