KansasLand Bank has a new owner.
The Americus bank, along with one in Quinter, has been acquired by Equity Bancshares — the Wichita holding company of Equity Bank.
Equity already has one bank in Quinter and two in Topeka.
Equity Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Brad Elliott says the merger “underscores our commitment to serving communities across the state, providing people with access to financial services and fostering economic growth. We intend to continue to build lasting relationships and support the aspirations of families and businesses in Americus and Gove County.”
KansasLand Bank Chairman and CEO Scott Bird agrees, saying, “This merger will provide our customers unparalleled customer service and access to state-of-the-art financial products and services, while ensuring the continuation of our mission of giving back to our communities.”
Equity has been busy with acquisitions since 2022, completing 23 bank or branch acquisitions. The KansasLand Bank acquisitions expand the Equity network to 73 total bank locations, including almost 40 offices in Kansas. Equity now has over $5 billion in total assets after the KansasLand Bank announcement.
