The National Weather Service has issued the following alerts for the KVOE listening area.
Active alerts:
*Tornado Watch: All area counties until 11 pm
*Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Coffey and Southeast Osage counties: Locations impacted include Burlington, Melvern, New Strawn, Gridley, Waverly, Beto Junction and LeRoy. Main hazards include 60 mph winds and penny-sized hail.
*Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Greenwood County until 9:45 pm. Main hazards include large hail, up to two inches in diameter, and high winds between 60 to 70 mph.
