A pair of transfers have been added to Emporia State soccer’s incoming class. Nagi Kawahata and Sade Lee will join the program as part of first-year head coach Jane Grimley-Gunn’s first recruiting class in Emporia. Kawahata transfers to ESU from Otero College in Colorado. The Japan native had 24 starts as goalie last year with nine shutouts and a goals against average of 0.88. Lee played last year for Pellissippi State in Tennessee and tallied 11 goals with four assists. Lee was named conference player of the year and was an NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention with 26 points in 11 games for the Panthers. The ESU program has 11 new players on board for the 2024 season with nine incoming freshman.
