The Olpe girls and the Madison boys claimed the Lyon County League Track and Field Championships held at Welch Stadium on Thursday.
Olpe won the girls meet with 194 points, 117 points more than runner-up Lebo.
Grace Coughlin won the discus with a throw of 103-8. The 4x800m relay team won the event in 11:02.82. Lilly Skalsky won the 1,600m with a time of 6:01.90 while Kinley Heins finished second with a time of 6:01.96. Kadey Robert won the 400m in 1:05.41. Milly Bailey won the 800m with a time of 2:43.95 while Heins finished second (2:45.73). Skalsky also won the 3,200m with a time of 13:13.95. The 4x400m relay team won the event in 4:31.46.
Skalsky and Hana Cole finished in a tie for second in the pole vault clearing 7-0. Regan Geiger finished in a tie for second clearing 4-10 in the high jump. Bailey finished second in the long jump (16-3) while Aubryn Garriott finished third (15-4.50). Garriott finished second in the triple jump (34-2.50). Gracie Scheve finished second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.41 while Ella Wilson finished third (19.56). The 4x100m relay team finished second (56.04). Scheve finished third in the 300m hurdles (56.36).
Olpe coach Jessica Knuth said it was a team effort to hoist the Lyon County League trophy.
Madison won the boys meet with 132 points, 17 more than runner-up Olpe.
Colton Isch won the high jump clearing 5-10. Isch won the triple jump with a mark of 40-4.50. Hayden Helm won the discus (129-10) and javelin (155-2). Octavian Dean won the 110m hurdles in 17.14.
Cruz Leiser finished second in the pole vault with a clearance of 11-0. The 4x100m relay team finished second (47.67). Brayden Grimmett finished third in the high jump clearing 5-2. Lane Darbro finished third in the javelin (148-9) and took second in the 110m hurdles (18.88). The 4x800m relay team finished second in 13:49.57.
Madison coach Zach Nuessen said it was a team effort across the board.
The Olpe boys finished second with 115 points. Kaleb Arnold won the 3,200m with a time of 10:46.37 while Isaac Arnold finished third (10:56.38). The 4x800m relay team won the event in 9:56.22. The 4x400m relay team won the event in 3:42.22. Kaleb Arnold took second in the 1,600m (4:37.62) and was third in the 800m (2:10.82). Jesse Kuhlmann finished second in the 400m (55.75). Colten Wolf finished third in the pole vault with a clearance of 10-0. Levi Heins finished third in the 110m hurdles (20.45). Cale Steffes finished third in the 100m (12.27).
The Lebo girls finished second with 77 points. Audrey Peek won the pole vault with a clearance of 9-3, a new league meet record. Peek also won the javelin with a throw of 127-0. Alexis Hutchinson finished second in the high jump (4-10). The 4x800m relay team finished second with a time of 11:12.79. Rachael Barnhardt finished third in the discus (97-6). Ally Peek finished third in the 400m with a time of 1:07.13. Cira Plummer finished third in the 3,200m (14:35.05). The 4x400m relay team finished third (4:44.19).
The Lebo boys finished third with 102 points. Caleb Durst won the 1,600m with a time of 4:36.18 and the 800m in 2:08.62. Corey Reese won the pole vault with a clearance of 11-6. Reese also won the 100m with a time of 12.07 while Kaden Balding finished second (12.15). The 4x100m relay team won the event in 47.11. Zach Oswald finished second in the discus (121-11) while Ashton Lattimer was third (116-8). Grayson Shoemaker finished third in the 800m (2:14.33). The 4x400m relay team finished second (3:44.40).
The Madison girls finished third with 72 points. Jalynn Weakley finished second in the javelin with a throw of 114-8. Catherine Seiter finished second in the 300m hurdles (55.61). Lucie Celte finished third in the triple jump (33-2.50). Rylie Watts finished third in the 100m (13.79). Lily Hudson finished third in the 1,600m (6:01.96) and was second in the 3,200m (13:39.75). The 4x100m relay team finished third (57.13).
The Burlingame girls finished fourth with 68 points. Harper Seele won the shot put with a throw of 35-9.50. Seele also won the 100m with a time of 13.15 while Willow Wyatt finished second (13.65). Madison Hovestadt won the triple jump with a mark of 34-9. The 4x100m relay team won the event in 52.41. Wyatt won the 200m in 28.43 while Kaylin Noonan finished second (28.55).
The Hartford boys finished fourth with 62 points. Grayson Dailey won the 400m with a time of 51.80. Keenan Renfrow finished second in the high jump clearing 5-6 and took third in the long jump (18-9). Cody Cleveland finished second in the 3,200m (10:51.83) and was third in the 1,600m (4:58.31).
The Hartford girls finished fifth with 48 points. Trinity Windle won the high jump clearing 5-0 and also won the long jump with a mark of 16-10.50. Windle also finished second in the 400m (1:06.48) and took third in the 200m (28.62). Lexi Geisken-Mears finished third in the 800m (2:50.32).
The Waverly boys finished fifth with 38 points. Carter Ohl won the long jump with a leap of 20-3. Ohl finished second in the triple jump (39-6) while Ty Glissman finished third (37-5). The 4x100m relay team finished third (49.33). The 4x400m relay team finished third (3:46.84).
The Burlingame boys finished sixth with 35 points. Brock Moon was second in the shot put (39-10) while Jakobe Whitmore was third (39-8). Dane Winters finished third in the 400m (56.44).
The Waverly girls finished seventh with 25 points. The 4x400m relay team finished second with a time of 4:42.75.
The Marais des Cygnes Valley boys finished eighth with 14 points. Landon Traver finished second in the long jump (19-8.50).
The MdCV girls finished eighth with 21 points. Akyra Traver won the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.27 and the 300m hurdles with a time of 50.21.
