A preliminary hearing will take place next month in the case of an Emporia man charged with attempted aggravated kidnapping and other crimes.
Juan Baza-Morales was originally set for a hearing next week but that was delayed at prosecutor request. The hearing will now be at 9 am June 26.
Details about the alleged incident that led to the arrest have not been divulged. Baza-Morales currently faces five counts, one each of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, attempted aggravated kidnapping, aggravated witness intimidation and criminal threat.
