A man who had a diversion agreement after a law enforcement pursuit in Emporia nearly two years ago is now going through the court process for an allegedly separate incident.
Vontrez Williams is currently listed in Lyon County as a fugitive from justice after allegedly fleeing law enforcement in Johnson County, Missouri, while intoxicated last week. Upcoming hearing dates have not posted to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal.
Williams was charged in May 2022 after allegedly leading a chase from Sixth and Chestnut to 18th and Lincoln. He received sixth months of diversion, after which charges of flee and elude and reckless driving were dropped.
