After a sunny, dry day Tuesday, storms are back in the picture for Wednesday and severe storms can’t be ruled out Wednesday night.
Officially, there is a slight chance of non-severe storms for the daylight hours. The severe weather risk develops after 8 pm, with a marginal-to-slight risk areawide for areas along and south of a line from Council Grove to Reading to near Waverly. Half-dollar-sized hail and 60-mph wind gusts are the concerns areawide. Any chance for tornadoes is southwest of the KVOE listening area.
More storms are possible Thursday, with a marginal severe weather risk for much of Coffey and Greenwood counties. Storm chances diminish Thursday night through Friday, and the weekend weather forecast looks to be dry until a slight chance of storms Sunday night.
KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media will have severe weather updates as warranted. If you have storm reports or rain totals Wednesday or Thursday, message the Bluestem Farm and Ranch text line at 620-342-5863.
