The Emporia Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is set to kick off at the end of the month.
Adventure Begins At Your Library with a kickoff event on May 29 at 3 p.m.
Emporia Public Library Director Pauline Stacchini says the library is going back to the basics for this year’s program.
Many activities for all ages will be held over the summer months. On Wednesdays in June with the exception of Juneteenth, Kids’ Koncerts will take place at noon in the library’s courtyard.
Stacchini says the library has been expanding the summer reading program to not just kids, but teenagers and adults. Stacchini says the library has been responsive to what the community wants and provide it in a way that exceeds their expectations.
The summer reading program will conclude on July 31. For more information visit, emporialibrary.org.
