Jeremy Rusco will soon add “Hall of Famer” to his resume.
Rusco will be inducted into The Kansas Flying Disc Association Hall of Fame at 6 p.m. June 14 at Champions Landing. Rusco’s induction will be held in conjunction with the PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships which will be held that week.
Rusco was introduced to disc golf in 2002 and put Emporia on the map. Rusco founded Dynamic Discs, one of the world’s largest disc golf retailers. As a disc golf player, Rusco won the Intermediate Division in the 3rd annual Glass Blown Open. Rusco has been the tournament director/assistant tournament director for 171 PDGA Championships.
In February, Rusco bought the Emporia Community Club and has turned the property into Champions Landing which features Champs Bar & Grill and Champs Coffee Shop & Bar.
Rusco will be joined in the KFDA’s second class by Harvey Barger, Robert “Bob” Decker, Bruce Hudson, Chris “Smitty” Smith, Rich Smith, and the Kansas State University Aerial Wizards.
