The city of Emporia has named the participants for its first Civic Leadership Institute.
There will be 20 individuals involved:

*Kyle Williams
Participants will learn more about city governance at all levels, including how departmens work independently and together, depending on the situation. They will also have numerous opportunities to discuss matters with both city staff and other civic leaders.
Sessions begin Tuesday and run weekly through July 30. The official graduation is Aug. 6.
