The Neosho River’s Regional Advisory Committee will have its upcoming meeting in Cottonwood Falls this week.
Committee members will meet at the Nature Conservancy Office, 226 Broadway, at 11 am Friday to highlight the watershed’s upcoming strategic plan process. The committee has been focusing on preserving reservoirs, including silt reduction in Coffey County’s John Redmond Reservoir and algae reduction in Marion County’s Marion Reservoir.
The Neosho RAC helps to develop water policy affecting over 10 counties, including parts or all of Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris and Wabaunsee in the KVOE listening area.
