It’s set to be a busy summer for Peterson Planetarium.
Emporia State professor and Planetarium Director Mark Brown joined KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 Segment to preview its summer schedule. Brown says there are multiple additional details to pick the shows they want to show.
Two programs will be held in June and July with multiple showings on select Wednesdays at 2 p.m. On June 5, 12 and 19, the planetarium will show “Chronic of a Journey To Earth.” On July 3, 10, 24, and 31, “Cosmic Colors” will be shown.
Seating is limited to 34 patrons per show and Brown encourages people to arrive early to get a spot.
Along with hosting programs, Brown says the planetarium will be hosting a number of summer camps in June focusing on space science, space camps, and planetarium programs.
The Peterson Planetarium is in Cram Science Hall Room 72. For more information, email stemoutreach@emporia.edu or call (620) 341-5636.
