Ron’s Ride was successful again Thursday.
KVOE General Manager Ron Thomas successfully raised over $5,100 for Special Olympics with his trek from the Emporia State campus to Olpe. It’s the third straight year the ride has raised at least $5,000 for Special Olympics, and Thomas was glad to help the participants have their big weekend.
The torch continued south and west through the day, with local law enforcement taking the torch to El Dorado by the end of Thursday before the state games in Maize beginning Friday.
