For the first time in 19 years, Symphony in the Flint Hills will take place in Greenwood County.
The signature event will take place at the Evans Family Red Ranch, nine miles east of Cassoday. Events will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday with the performance by the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra and special guest performer Katherine McPhee at 6 p.m.
Board member Karen Hibbard says attendees will want to take their time and enjoy some of the scenery that Greenwood County has to offer before entering the venue space.
Hibbard says the relationship it has with the Symphony the last 19 years is special. Hibbard says the event is a unique opportunity for anyone who loves music or nature.
