Two individuals, one from Osage County and the other from Franklin County, are now in custody following a traffic stop in Osage County Monday evening.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, around 9:50 pm, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop at 213th and South Michigan Road for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, law enforcement supposedly found illegal narcotics in the vehicle which led to the arrest of 58-year-old Pomona resident Delwin D. Watkins and 64-year-old Marvin J. McWhorter Jr of Quenemo.
Watkins was arrested on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, no proof of insurance and illegal registration. McWhorter Jr. was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
Both were taken to the Osage County Jail where they remain at last word.
