Kids Koncerts at the Emporia Public Library kicked off Wednesday.
Leonardo Music was the first of three Kids Koncerts the library will be hosting this month. Emporia Public Library Director Pauline Stacchini says there will be two acts who have performed at the library previously later this month.
Kids Koncerts will begin at noon each Wednesday in the library’s courtyard. Stacchini says plenty of activities will make up for the library being closed on Juneteenth.
Stacchini says the turnout for the library’s summer reading program kickoff was the biggest since COVID with nearly 300 attendees. Stacchini says the library is continuing to expand its programs for all ages to go along with its basics like the Kids Koncerts and storytimes and adding teen gaming hours, escape rooms, and mocktail-making classes just to name a few.
