The Emporia High football team was on hand for the Emporia State Team Camp on Thursday and Friday at Welch Stadium.
Emporia High was able to participate in four practices throughout the two-day event against teams from Kansas and Oklahoma. Emporia High coach Kaden Glinsmann said the biggest takeaway from the event was facing the other teams that attended the camp.
Now in his second year as the Spartans’ head coach, Glinsmann said things are set with what the summer looks like for the program.
Glinsmann said there’s still a lot to be done before the Spartans have their first official practice on August 19.
Emporia High will open the season at Pittsburg on September 6.
