Formal charges are pending in a Coffey County theft case.
Sheriff Tom Johnson says there had been a string of thefts involving Coffey County and nearby areas. The suspect, Joseph Leftwich, was found in Iola and arrested Thursday.
Besides Coffey County deputies, the Kansas Highway Patrol and sheriff’s offices in Allen and Woodson counties helped with the investigation.
