Traffic adjustments will be a hallmark of Emporia’s 24th and Prairie waterline replacement project for the next year or so, and several are coming soon.
Starting Friday, a drive entrance to the Emporia Pavilions will be available at the north end of the 24th and Industrial intersection. Also:
*24th between Industrial and Prairie will be closed to all westbound traffic. Eastbound traffic will be one lane.
*Apple Drive at 24th is closed to all traffic
*Access to the Willow Creek Addition north of 24th will be from Prairie Street only.
The 24th and Prairie project will add almost 13,000 linear feet of new water pipe, ranging from 6 to 24 inches in diameter. Over 30 new service lines and other infrastructure will be added.
