In honor of Flag Week, the Emporia Lions Club is continuing a yearly tradition.
The club will be celebrating Flag Day on Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm on the Road S bridge over I-35.
Lions Club member Gary Post says this project started four years ago and keeps the club active in the community.
Emporia American Legion Post 5 and the Patriot Guard will provide 14 flags in honor of June 14.
Post says having partnerships with other service clubs is a neat deal and gives them other visibility throughout the community.
