Extradition processes will continue later this month for a Minnesota man arrested in Emporia back in April.
Jeremiah Robert Ray, age 33, was arrested April 5 and was initially charged with misdemeanor interference with law enforcement. That count was dismissed last month, but Ray was discovered to be an alleged fugitive from justice in Anoka County, Minnesota, on suspicion of felony violation of a no-contact order, felony attempted disarming a peace officer and other charges after an alleged incident in April.
A review hearing is tentatively set for June 24. Ray has waived extradition, and documents on the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal indicate Minnesota wants to extradite Ray on June 21.
