Court hearings are planned for two defendants in an Emporia stabbing case.
Raena Grana, age 18, has a preliminary hearing June 25 on single counts of aggravated battery and interference with law enforcement.
Gary Grana, age 45, has a pretrial conference July 29 on single misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct.
Emporia Police have said the case developed after reports of a stabbing at 1101 Congress on June 1. Police Capt. Lisa Hayes says there was a “neighbor dispute involving multiple people” and a victim, an unnamed adult male, had suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to the back. The victim was taken to Newman Regional Health afterward for medical care.
