The leader of Emporia State University’s Foundation is taking on a new role at ESU.
Shane Shivley, currently the Foundation’s president and chief executive officer, is now serving as Senior Director – Special Projects effective this week. Shivley will report directly to President Ken Hush as he works on “large-scale, impactful projects” for ESU.
Shivley was at the forefront of the highly-successful Together, Forward fundraising campaign that generated over $90 million when it concluded in February, benefiting a range of projects like the Nursing + Student Wellness Center, redesigned Feltner Student Union Square, a campus disc golf team, e-sports team, e-ventures program and additional scholarship opportunities.
A nationwide search is currently underway, according to Foundation Board of Trustees Chair Jason Fanning. An interim leader will be appointed soon.
