Emporia firefighters were dispatched to a reported grass fire Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were sent to 1414 Rural around 7:15 am. Early indications are a downed tree brought several power lines down, triggering a fire and a small outage affecting less than 10 Evergy customers. Other details have not been announced.
