USD 253 Board of Education members have a relatively short agenda ahead for their next regular meeting with capital improvements to be the main focus.
As part of their agenda Wednesday evening, members will receive an update on capital projects from Director of Maintenance and Grounds Cory Nicolet. The update will focus on projects at Emporia High School, Emporia Middle School and Logan Avenue Elementary.
Members will also receive an update from Emporia Rec Director Tom McEvoy on how district-levied funds are used by the Emporia Recreation Commission. The purchase of two new school buses, additional costs for a repaving project at Emporia High and quotes for an ADA ramp at Logan Avenue will also see consideration.
The meeting will begin at 6 pm inside of the Mary Herbert Education Center.
