Kansas ended fiscal 2024 with mostly good numbers.
Governor Laura Kelly says June tax collections were over $1 billion, above estimates by 2.4 percent and nearly 4 precent from a year ago.
June was a strong month for individual income tax collections, which beat estimates by over 22 percent and June 2023 numbers by almost 20 percent. Combined retail sales and compensating use tax recepts were slightly above estimates but down nearly 4 percent from a year ago.
Corporate income tax receipts lagged in June, missing estimates by almost 22 percent and the June 2023 total by almost 15 percent.
