Since local chiropractor Bryan Douglas passed away due to kidney cancer three years ago, his family members have been swinging for the fences as they try to help people through their own cancer battles.
The fourth annual Bryan Douglas Memorial Softball Tournament brought six teams to Santa Fe Park. Douglas’ wife, Lori, says all the proceeds from the tournament go into the Choose How You Respond Fund.
Douglas says people needing assistance can get funds for things as simple as prom dresses or sports team equipment. Regardless of how much the allocations are, Douglas says the end goal is to “bring a little bit of joy into your days.”
Fundraising totals are pending. Hot dogs, Traci’s Shaved Ice and a silent auction all part of the fundraiser.
