Funeral services have been announced for RE/MAX Ek Real Estate agent and United Way of the Flint Hills leader Lynn Cunningham.
There will be a viewing from 5-7 pm Friday at Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life from 2-6 pm Saturday at her home, 519 South West.
Along with her 20-year career as a realtor, Cunningham was heavily involved in the community, including time as the United Way fundraising drive chair last year and, more recently, time as the agency’s interim board president. Cunningham was also involved in various capacities with American Red Cross, CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, Boy Scouts and Emporia Land Bank. During her time in Arizona, she was involved with the United Way of Tucson as part of a 25-year career in banking with Chase Bank and Wells Fargo.
Cunningham had completed a week-long training exercise for RE/MAX Ek Real Estate and was returning home from Denver when she was killed in a wreck Thursday. Details have not been announced.
