Two unrelated financial matters will highlight the Lyon County Commission’s action meeting Thursday.
First, Lyon County Emergency Management Director Jarrod Fell will join Emporia Community Foundation CEO Linda Kehres-Schmidt and United Way of the Flint Hills Executive Director Daphne Mertens in seeking county approval for a Disaster Financial Donations Management memorandum of understanding between the entities.
Second, County Controller Dan Williams will present a $20,000 payment to Ignite Emporia for commission approval.
Commission and staff reports are planned, along with two executive sessions, one each for non-elected personnel and legal matters.
The meeting starts at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
