Emporia’s annual Street Rehab project is moving from the curb-and-gutter phase into the mill-and-overlay stage.
The city has milling, or pavement grinding, set to take place in six work zones Wednesday:
• Second Avenue from Cottonwood Street to East Street
• 11th Avenue from West Street to Rural Street
• Chestnut Street from 5th Avenue to the dead end
• Lincoln Street from 4th Avenue to 6th Avenue
• Walnut Street from 6th Avenue to 9th Avenue
• Wheeler Street from 15th Avenue to 18th Avenue
Over 20 streets are part of this year’s Street Rehab program.
