A traffic stop in Madison last week led to a pair of arrests on suspicion of illegal drug activity.
Following the stop Friday, Greenwood County deputies say they arrested Wayne Moler and Gabrielle Cheshewalla on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine; possessing fentanyl, marijuana, opioids and psilocybin; and possessing paraphernalia both for use and distribution. In addition, Moler was arrested on suspicion on being a felon possessing of a firearm; possessing a short-barrel shotgun; defacing the serial number of a firearm; violating driving restrictions; and transporting an open container of alcohol.
Drug quantities have not been announced. Deputies have also not mentioned what led to the traffic stop.
Formal charges are pending.
