A preliminary hearing for an Emporia man accused of aggravated battery, attempted kidnapping and other charges is now set for late August.
Juan Baza-Morales was tentatively set for a prelim Wednesday, but that was pushed to Aug. 28 because an interpreter was unavailable.
Baza-Morales faces single counts of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, aggravated witness intimidation, attempted aggravated kidnapping and criminal threat after an alleged incident in early April.
