The Denim and Diamonds signature event takes place Friday evening at Emporia State’s Memorial Union.
Chief Executive Officer Cathy Pimple says the hospital staff is ready for a celebration.
The event is a sellout. Over 400 people are set to be on hand for the event at Webb Hall, with activities including food, live music from Thompson Square, a live and silent auction and the drawing for the $5,000 diamond, sapphire and gold bracelet from Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal.
Fundraising is already at record territory with almost $170,000 either generated or pledged as of late July. All proceeds benefit big-ticket purchases for Newman Regional Health, including infant hearing equipment, a Mako Arm for robot-assisted joint replacement surgery and a radiology fluoroscopy room.
