The Lyon County Fair’s 4H schedule got rolling Friday.
Winning the dog show’s senior obedience and showmanship categories was Bailee Van Sickle with her dog, Maverick. Van Sickle had some concerns about how things would go, but things turned out well.
Van Sickle says it’s vitally important to have a good relationship with her dog well before getting to a competition.
Van Sickle also says the main concern for her was making sure Maverick was in the right spot for the show.
Caleb Carson had the reserve obedience champion.
