Issues have been resolved for the quartet of radio transmitters that went offline for the National Weather Service Topeka coverage area Wednesday.
The Halls Summit transmitter, which serves Lyon, Coffey and parts of several neighboring counties, was affected, as were the transmitters at Abilene, Concordia and Topeka — meaning Greenwood County was the only area county receiving a weather radio signal for several hours Wednesday.
The Weather Service says there was an unspecified communications or hardware failure causing the outage.
