The preseason coaches’ poll has been released for NCAA Division II football and the Hornets are receiving votes, but will start the season outside the Top 25. Defending national champion Harding received 25 of 27 possible first place votes and is the preseason #1 team in the country. Central Missouri is the top-ranked MIAA team and is ranked at #2. Ferris State, Grand Valley state, & Colorado School of Mines round out the top five. Pittsburg State was voted #6 & Northwest Missouri is 22nd. Fort Hays State is also receiving votes.
