The Emporia Recreation Commission has three meetings ahead Tuesday evening.
Board members will start by interviewing a pair of at-large member candidates, longtime member Mike Helbert and Future Funding Task Force member Christian Keisler.
Once those interviews are completed, the board will adjourn and go into its annual budget hearing. The board will “review and interpret” both the budget and the revenue-neutral rate before adjourning into the regular monthly board meeting, where both documents will likely be approved. Other business from the regular meeting:
*Approval of an at-large board member and a 50-Plus program supervisor
*Update from the New Rec Center Steering Committee
*Updates on employee tax credits, an unspecified situation revolving around the DeBauge Sports Complex and the Kansas State High School Activities Association Division II state volleyball tournament
*Approval of new furniture for the Rec Center
The meeting slate begins at 5 pm Tuesday at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
