An allocation to one of Emporia’s higher learning institutions will be up for consideration when Lyon County Commissioners convene for their regular action session later this week.
As part of their agenda, commissioners will consider approving a $100,000 allocation to Flint Hills Technical College. Before this item, however, commissioners will discuss the purchase of new software for family court totaling $4,000. A State of Kansas Office of Judicial Administration grant will reimburse the county’s dollars.
Separately, Lyon County Appraiser Ryan Janzen will present information regarding his office’s substantial compliance standing. Two executive sessions, one for non-elected personnel and the other for legal matters, are also scheduled.
The meeting begins at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
