Two Coffey County residents were hurt, one seriously, as part of a wreck near their hometown Friday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the single-vehicle wreck happened just before 3 pm in the 550 block of Shetland Road, a mile north of LeRoy. Troopers say 81-year-old Patricia Price of LeRoy was driving a car southbound when she went off the road for unlisted reasons and hit a tree.
Price was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected serious injuries. Meanwhile, 90-year-old Earnest Price of LeRoy was taken to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington with suspected minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
