The past four seasons for the Osage City football team have ended with two losses each year.
The Indians would like to see that change for the 2024 season. Osage City ended 2023 with a 9-2 record, falling to the eventual state champions in Class 2A Nemaha Central in the sectional round.
Andrew Gantenbien enters his 16th season guiding the Indians. Osage City returns a strong junior class that includes wide receiver/defensive back Quenten Stark, and quarterback Kasen Parsons. Osage City’s schedule is highlighted by a visit to Olpe in Week 1 along with facing two newcomers to the Flint Hills League, Cair Paravel and Wabaunsee. The Indians also will travel to Riley County and St. Mary’s for pivotal district games in Class 2A.
Osage City will be featured on KVOE’s Area Game of the Week on Country 101.7 FM in Week 1 at Olpe.
