Steamy conditions continue across the KVOE listening area through mid-week after a sultry weekend.
The National Weather Service is continuing a heat advisory areawide until 8 pm Monday after having a heat advisory both weekend days. Air temperatures Monday could be as high as 101 with heat index readings between 104-110.
Air temperatures did not reach 100 degrees either Saturday or Sunday, but heat index readings climbed to 104 both days.
Mid- and upper 90s are in the forecast Tuesday through Thursday, with heat index readings at or above 100 each day. Showers and storms are currently possible Thursday and likely Thursday night, with temperatures in the low and mid-80s Friday through the upcoming weekend.
