A man convicted of raping a child in Lyon County received a life sentence Friday.
Judge Jeff Larson handed down the sentence to Antonine Moliere after he was found guilty of raping a child no more than five years old back in July. The 65-year-old Moliere will have the possibility of parole after 25 years which means he would be 90 years old before he could be considered for release.
Moliere was already on lifetime sex offender registration after a 2005 conviction for sex abuse against a minor in Maryland from 2003. His conviction in Lyon County follows activity between February and mid-April of last year.
