The Emporia Economic Outlook Conference is on October’s community calendar, and Wichita State University’s Center for Economic Development and Business Research has announced the speakers for the upcoming event.
Wichita State Project Manager Craig Compton will start the presentations with a state outlook and construction update, followed by a state and regional update from Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Assistant Vice President Jeremy Hill. The Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Index report will come from Wichita State research economist Jonathan Norris, with the local update provided by Emporia State Assistant Professor Bekah Selby. The annual real estate outlook will be provided by Wichita Center for Real Estate Director Stan Longhofer. There will also be a Society in Balance panel involving Emporia Police Chief Ed Owens and Assistant City Manager Tayler Wash.
Emporia City Commissioner and Kansas Methodist Foundation Chief Development Officer Tyler Curtis is serving as the event host.
The Emporia Economic Outlook Conference will take place from 10:30 am to 2 pm Oct. 18 at the Flint Hills Technical College main campus, 3301 West 18th. Click here to register.
